About Akfotoman

Award winning photojournalist who came to Alaska in 1975 and has made a career of photographing the contemporary lifestyle of Alaskan near and far. Stapleton worked mainly as a magazine photographer in the 1980-and early 1990s but transitioned into writing and shooting as writer reported for various publications. Stapleton has illustrated books, posters, calendars, websites and print publications and has shown his work in galleries around the state of Alaska and in Washington D.C.
